Everything You Need to Know About Staying at Rock Mill Apartments

Before You Arrive
When will I receive my check-in details?
You’ll receive your full check-in instructions the day before your arrival. If you’ve booked last minute (within 24 hours), these will be sent straight after booking.
Your instructions will include:
- Key box location
- Your unique key code
- Directions to your apartment
Can I check in early?
Standard check-in is from 4:00 PM onwards.
If you arrive earlier and your key is already available in the key box, you’re welcome to head in, but we recommend not arriving before 3:00 PM, as we can’t guarantee your apartment will be ready before then.
Can I choose how the beds are set up?
Yes, if you let us know at least 3 days before arrival, we can arrange your preferred layout. If no preference is provided, beds will be made up as doubles. Last-minute bookings can’t be customised and will be made up as doubles. Fresh bed linen and one bath towel per person is provided, with hand towels in the bathroom.
I have booked through booking.com what is my check in code?
If you have booked through Booking.com, please use the key code details we provide, rather than the PIN number included in your booking.com booking reference.
What is provided in the apartments?
Bed linen, towels, all utilities, and Wi-fi. All apartments have a supply of basic household items which include loo roll, kitchen cloths, tea towels, washing up liquid, pepper, salt, tea, coffee, sugar, bin liners. All apartments have fully integrated kitchens. There will be a good supply of cooking equipment to allow you to prepare food easily. There will also be ample crockery/cutlery/glassware.
Can I smoke or vape in the Apartment?
All of our apartments are strictly non-smoking and non-vaping (vaping can trigger the fire alarms too). If this is ignored you may be charged a fee for fumigating the apartment.
Is there parking?
The car parking spaces are not allocated specifically to the apartments however there is a large private car park on site.
Do the apartments have WiFi?
Wi-fi is provided free of charge, with good speed, connection and bandwidth. We also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee Wi-fi if there are technical issues in the area.
Where do I find directions to the apartments?
Full directions can be found in your digital welcome guide which you will receive once you have booked your apartment.


During Your Stay
What is the best way to contact someone if I have any emergency issues whilst I’m staying?
For any emergencies or urgent issues outside of regular hours during your stay, please call our operations team, details on the back of your apartment door and in the welcome guide. There are no staff on site as these are self catering apartments.
How do you access the lockers?
The lockers are on a first come first serve basis and not allocated per apartment, you need to set your own code and they are only large enough for a ruck sack and boots they do not take cases. You would need to wait for one to become available during your stay if there are none available when you arrive.
What do I do if I can’t access my locker because I forgot the code?
If there is no one on the reception desk, please contact our operations team, details in your welcome guide.
Something has tripped the electrics where is the fuse board?
The fuse board & stop cock are located in the utility cupboard. Please note that while we take every reasonable precaution to ensure a safe environment within the individual apartments, the over all property management are responsible for health and safety across the site.
There is excessive noise from other apartments?
Most of our guests are considerate, and we rarely experience issues with noise from apartments or from barking dogs. Please note that all apartments at Rock Mill are privately managed, so if you encounter any concerns with other guests, their apartment may be managed by a different provider.
The hob is not working how do I switch it on?
The hob does have a child lock on it so you need to deactivate this prior to use by holding the lock button for 10 seconds. Please follow instructions in your property welcome guide.
Can I have a late check out?
Check-out is strictly by 11:00 AM. This allows our team to prepare the apartment for the next guests and ensure it is cleaned to the highest standard. We kindly ask that you respect this time to help us maintain a smooth transition for all our guests.
I need to wash clothes whilst is there a washing machine in the apartments?
Unfortunately there are no clothes washing facilities in the apartments or in the communal areas. After your stay
I have left an item behind at the apartment how can I get it back?
Let us know what the item was and the apartment number. Our housekeepers will endeavour to find lost/left items and we will notify you that we have them in our possession. We can arrange to post items back to you, there is a minimum £15 charge to post items back to you.
